- Offsets
- Offsets are the precise hull measurements that were originally used by a boat builder to build the hull. Most normally detailed fully in all good boat builder handbooks.
- Outhaul
- An outhaul is a device located to the aft of of the yachts boom. It’s purpose is to ensure that the clew is well secured so that the footings are nice and taught.
- Overage
- An overage is an additional premium that is charged due to the boat being insured being outside standard boat insurance risk tolerances (maximum age, engine size, length etc). The overage therefore offsets the additional risk created due to the vessel being out of standard specification.
